PREVIOUS ADMINISTRATIVE EXPERIENCE

Williams College, Office of the Dean of the College Williamstown, MA
Associate Dean of the College & Dean of First Year Students, 1999 – 2020

Responsible for all aspects of First-Year undergraduate life

  •  Designed/directed ten-day First Day’s program that welcomes all First-Year students

  •  Introduced comprehensive diversity, sexual assault and bias trainings

  • Designed/directed mid-orientation programs, EphVentures

  • Directed the residential Junior Advisor program

  • Integral to moving the office in line with Williams’ increasingly diverse student community

  • Welcomed new colleagues to the office and partnered with them in designing programming to connect with their specific audiences

  • Central to the office’s transition into “best practices” for responding to student sexual assault, harassment and bias cases, including compliance with legal mandates

  • Worked collaboratively with the Associate Dean for International Students problem-solving issues related to communications, travel and visas

  • Served as the only non-faculty voting member of the Committee on Academic Standing, which reviews and updates, maintains and enforces College academic policies

  • Worked closely with the Director of Study Away to problem-solve for Juniors studying abroad

  • Coordinated all student withdrawals, leaves and readmits Academic, personal, and Honor Code counseling

  • Redesigned and managed the academic advising system

  • Provided oversight and input on all campus disciplinary issues
